The 6,000 sqft cabin, features seven unique bedrooms, each with their own private bathroom. Whether you are a couple, a small or large group, the Old Carson Cabin is a place of rustic elegance, peace and tranquility.
A spacious living room with a soap stone fireplace, a dining room which bears a mural of the famous Old Carson mining town side which accommodates easily up to sixteen people. A very spacious and fully equipped kitchen with all amenities which includes a large refrigerator and freezer, and a laundry room. There is a huge 2,000 sqft deck with a hot tub, outdoor furniture, an an outdoor barbecue.
Upon arrival you will be impressed amid the elegant beauty of the hanging flower baskets above the outside decks while the cabin itself rises to a third floor peak. Watch the hummingbirds at the front porch feeders.
As evening falls, enjoy your refreshments or a glass of wine on the deck that borders into the forest. Marvel at the stars and count the satellites orbiting above while relaxing and soaking in the outdoor hot tub. And then enjoy the peaceful and serenity of the relaxing night in your cabin.
The Old Carson Cabin is nestled high in the San Juan Mountains on the Alpine Loop close to the town of Lake City, Colorado. The cabin is set on three wooded acres of Aspens and Spruce trees at 9,300 feet. It is ideal for ATV enthusiasts with adequate parking for trailers. The area offers hiking trails for all levels, fascinating ghost towns, superb fishing areas, and five of the 14,000+foot mountains to conquer.
Our spring blossoms with Aspen leaves, Columbines and other wild, and colorful flowers. Summer brings brilliant days and cool nights, while fall dazzles you with golden yellow, rusty oranges and bright reds of our own Aspen forests. We are home of black bears, mule deer, Rocky Mountain elk and bighorn sheep.
